Hi Kathy,

We have now met Shiva, and she is the most delightfull pup we have ever met. She was delayed 1½ hours, and we were so impatient, because we had been looking so much forward to seing her. All the paperwork was fine, no problems there. The lady who brought her to us at SAS cargo, said that when she fetched the box Shiva was sleeping sweetly.

She was wery interested in what was happening around her, but a bit thoughtfull about leaving the box. I picked her up and took her out, and as soon as her feets touched the ground she was wiggeling her tail and bouncing around. The drive home was a bit long.... 1 hour, but she managed just fine...... i think she was bored. We have been home now for about 1 hour, and she checked out the whole house and the garden several times.

We gave her a bit to eat, as you wrote we should do, and she ate a bit, but everything here was so new to her that she couldn't focus on eating. But i stayed by her side, and then she could relax and eat up. She had a dump and a wee in the garden just now. She is just so wonderful, I simply can't descibe how happy we are to have here. Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to get to know her.

I will send you some pictures in a weeks time.

Thank you again!

Hi Kathy,

I cannot believe it has been four weeks since we got our little boy. Thank you so much, he is the most beautiful puppy. I have to say we picked the right name for him “Sunny”. He has the most gorgeous temperament. He is patient with the kids and knows when to be cheeky and when to keep quite.

He has been extremely easy to train, even my six year old can give commands that Sunny will follow. House training was easier than I thought it would be, the first week I thought I would go insane then all of a sudden I realized I wasn’t cleaning up as much as I had been. Everyone that has met him has fallen in love with him (even the dog hating lady down the street).

He is a little charmer. We are off to the vet on Monday for his 12 week shots so I hope he charms the vet as well.

Once again thank you for our beautiful little boy.

Kathy is a breeder who truly understands how a dog can change a family, and, as a result, takes great care and pride on matching people to their labradoodle.

In the fall of 2005 we began to look in earnest for a dog. The main reason, though not the only reason, was to find a companion for our special needs daughter, Jessica. It became very important to get a puppy that would have all the great traits; intelligent, adorable, obedient, non-shedding, cuddly….and so on. After much research, searching in New England, and many internet contacts we had several conversations with Kathy and agreed upon a dog from an October litter.

Excitement in the house was growing by the day. Then in late November Kathy called us and explained that the dog we had picked was shedding. It had been a small litter and no other dog was available. The only dog remaining was the one Kathy had picked to keep for future breeding. I think during that conversation I became completely convinced of how totally Kathy loved her work.

The sadness and empathy for my daughter truly came through the phone….We explained that we would take a few days and try to figure out how to handle nature’s cruel little twist with my daughter. A couple of days later the phone rang again. It was Kathy. “Hi David, I cannot get Jessica’s disappointment out of my head, I want you to take the dog I was keeping. She is a very special little pup and you all will really love her.” It was an act of unselfish generosity. Well, we are now in the first days of spring in New England, Sydney is an integral member of our family.

She has melted the hearts of each of us, and has lived up to every expectation. When I read the dog training books and see the many chapters on what to do with a certain dog problem, I laugh and give Sydney a rub. I never need those chapters. She has been every new dog owners dream.

Kathy has given a great gift, and done so in a way that convinced us all that to her it was nothing unusual…just what a true dog lover does …

I wholeheartedly say that if you want a labradoodle (and you should!) you want to get it from Kathy Young.

labradoodle

We recently purchased a Labradoodle (Archie) from Kathy at Cloudcatchers Labradoodles in Australia.

Archie is now a fun and feisty, not to mention handsome, 4 month old pup. We live in Houston, Texas so getting him all the way from Australia was a huge deal. We already had an almost 4 year old black Labradoodle which we bought in England when we lived there so we started some painstaking research by Internet to find exactly what we wanted.

I had numerous e mails with various breeders in the US and coat, colour, timing and sex were all part of the big picture. I had plenty of information about the ‘parents’, pre planning information for our new arrival – a very helpful reminder since it seemed so long since Daisy had joined us and plenty of detail on the shipping and handling of Archie between Australia and the US.

I was always happy with Kathy’s prompt responses, her explanations and of course just looking and reading about her breeding program was proof enough for us to ‘pre-book’ a puppy from her. I would not hesitate to recommend Cloudatchers Labradoodles to anyone interested in a very high quality Labradoodle.

It has been our pleasure to have been involved with such a dedicated and loving breeder.

Yours truly,

Avril and Kevin Schofield Avril Schofield

Hi Kathy,

I have been meaning to drop you a line to let you know how the pups are getting on and how much we adore them! They are such lovely dogs and have truly exceeded our expectations. They are growing fast and are so well behaved for pups. They love their walks (we have lots of off leash parks nearby where I can let them romp freely with every confidence in them!) and they have enjoyed trips to the beach and even joined us on our family holiday to Adelaide, where despite my anxiety about driving for 8 hours with the 4 kids and pups, Maggie and Monty were exceptional and could have taught the kids a thing or two about traveling well! Even my dad who was anxious about two puppies ruining his pristine garden during our week long stay was won over by their beautiful temperaments and impeccable behaviour and the fact his garden survived intact!

The kids all adore them and the pups love playing with the kids and are so patient with them as they can get a little boisterous with them at times! For us having two has worked out wonderfully. Maggie and Monty seem to get so much enjoyment out of having a playmate around and spend much time chasing each other and tumbling around the garden, or curled up snoozing together! We have had many compliments on not only what beautiful looking dogs they are but also how obviously well bred they are, so we thank you again for the care you take in breeding your puppies, as they are a real credit to you. (and of course Tala and Mars!). Thank you also for the information you provided on the submissive urination. Maggie still occasionally does it but I can pretty much predict when it will happen, and she has improved greatly.

I think it will gradually disappear. She has really settled down. Monty is happy to go with the flow at home though interestingly finds new situations frightening (like going to the dogwashers), but Maggie though displaying much more confidence all round seems to really need to know exactly what is what – she is so eager to do the right thing I think it stresses her out a bit sometimes! All in all as you say it is not really a problem and we are no longer finding it so.

So thank you again for our wonderful pups! I attach a couple of pictures of the “pack” and the pups

Kind Regards,

Miranda Lewis

Hi Kathy and Tribe

Thank you for the birthday wishes. Gem is great and having a lovely day. We will be taking her to the beach later - her favourite place!

We love her more and more every day, she is just the best dog. Even now she is almost grown up the kids still play with her and haven't lost any interest at all. If anything they play more and more and she just completes our family. We couldn't be more thrilled with her and anyone who meets her says what a stunningly gorgeous dog she is. I have tried to get some good pics to send you but she is so funny. When I'm trying to take a picture of her she just bounds up to me for a hug!!!  Have attached some anyway, but not the most recent unfortunately as I can't seem to get the new ones fro my mobile onto my pc for some reason.

Best wishes

Lin & family

Hi Kathy,

Writing to let you know nearly 3 weeks in how we are going. Crate and toilet training afe going well. Tonight we are the 3rd night into Marley sleeping in his crate downstairs with the crate and back door open for him to go out as needed and it has worked a treat.

Tonight is the first night he hasn't cried when we come upstairs to bed. Not sure if that is due to progress on his behalf or because he is tuckered out from his first puppy training class this evening! Marley is both a great talker and socialiser to both man and beast! He has been socialising in all sorts of environments and just loves it. Our son, Callum, and Marley enjoy hanging out together and at night Marley sleeps on the floor by Callum's bed until he is asleep and then goes into his crate for the rest of the night.

All the notes you provided us prior to Marley's arrival have been invaluable and have contributed greatly to the easy transition we have had with him joining our family.

We can't tell you how many times we are stopped in the street by admirers claiming Marley is the best quality Labradoodle they have seen. All kudos to you and your team Kathy.

We hope you enjoy the photos.

We will continually keep you posted.

Kind Regards, Carolyn

Hi Everyone,

Our big beautiful boy turns one tomorrow! We had a family birthday BBQ for Rusty on the weekend and I have included some photos. Thank you again for such beautiful dogs. Rusty and Lucee are really enjoying the beach this summer.

Rusty is now swimming in the bay, Lucee goes in but has not started swimming yet (all four paws must touch ground). Rusty and Lucee have brought so much love and joy into our lives.

Thank you again for such gorgeous dogs.

Cheers Ingrid, Lucee and Rusty

I have to tell you,

Maxi is such a good puppy. You have done a tremendous job with raising her. From the first night, she slept through the night, she's not a barker, she "gives"- even with her favorite toys, she calmly sits and she knows where to potty - and it has only been two days! She has captured our hearts and is definitely a part of our family. Thank you so very much for caring about your dogs and taking such good care of them.

We are absolutely delighted with her!

Regards,

Kimberly Ingram
